Project Focus tool – Mindlab Denmark

Well begun is half done – in our experience, it’s essential for any project, to form a accurate and succinct problem statement from the commencement of the project, to achieve a successful outcome. Therefore, it’s essential to devote resources for creating a mutual understanding of the underlying consequences, issues and problem areas that form the project. This method challenges the project team's different understandings, so you can reach a shared agreement on the starting point of the project. The exercise is to describe the causes of the core problem and the consequences related to different interest groups and to the system. Mindlab is an inter-ministry government innovation lab that invents, develops and experiments with new ways to find and define problems as well as new approaches to solving them in a relevant and effective manner.
