Public Design Forum is a global community of designers for public good and social impact. We’re raising a micro-fund of US$1000 to keep the lights on for the forum for the next 3 years.

$0 pledged of US$1000

Hi guys, Public Design Forum is bootstrapped right now and it’s pretty pricey to run. As of now, it’s run on on a US$200 per year plan. My goal is to grow this community into a global one where anyone can ask questions and get advice about design for public good. I’m ready to commit up to 3 years to try to get this to work. I’m asking for:

Funding target for 2018: US$200 (based on Basic plan)

Stretch funding target for next 2 years till year 2020: US$800 (based on Professional plan)

This funding is just for the managed hosting fees. It doesn’t include the time and effort needed to grow the community. As soon as the community grows, I plan to upgrade the hosting to Professional plan in year 2 and 3, as I would need pay for extra plugins to monetize the site.

I’m already exploring ways to monetize this forum so that it will become self-sustaining in the long run, without the need for pledges.

If you like Public Design Forum and want to continue using it for years to come, please back this project to keep the lights on for Public Design Forum!

If you have any questions, please contact me using the chatbox at the bottom-right of the site, or post a question in Public Design Forum itself.
